The Barnett Bank Building was the tallest of Jacksonville's skyscrapers built during the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s.
It was topped out after only 76 days of construction.
In the early 2000's, LB Jax Development planned to renovate the building into 80 hotel rooms and 75 loft-styled apartments.
As of April 2006, Kuhn Development was proposing a mixed-use renovation to include residences and businesses.
