About
Memphis

Hi y'all! This is Memphis, home of just about everything "southern". Elvis Presley and Graceland, B.B. King, Aretha...birthplace of the Blues and Beale Street. But there's more to Memphis than singers and music...it's the world headquarters of Federal Express and its mammoth SuperHub that handles millions of parcels each night in a matter of hours using hundreds of airplanes. Memphis is also the birthplace of Holiday Inns and famous for tasty ribs (you want 'em wet or you want 'em dry?).
Hot and humid in the summer with frequent lightning storms, Memphis sits on the banks of the Mississippi River and was founded by Andrew Jackson. The city water supply is one of the finest in the world. Memphis is friendly, fun and very southern.
