Vitória Vitória is the capital of Espirito Santo state, with 450 years is one of the oldest cities in Brazil, during the late XIX and early XX century, Vitória grew because of the coffee production and exports.

Vitória is not the largest city of Espirito Santo state, very unusual in Brazil, where the largest cities are the capital cities. But is the most important city of Espirito Santo, home of the bureacratical services of the State, Vitória Port, the Federal University of Espirito Santo, and major industries.
