Nesher Established in 1923 as a workers town, evolving the cement factory, Nesher, which entiteled the city with its name.
With only 1,400 inhabitants in 1945, the town had multiplied its population the following years, after the establishment of the State of Israel.

During the 50's through the 60's, the town suffered from relative low income per capita, side by side with social and economical difficulties.
However, during the 90's, as some 16,000 new residents moved into the city, Nesher has faced a construction boom and improved it's social position.
