About
Charleston

Established in 1794, Charleston is located at the confluence of the Elk and Kanawha Rivers in central West Virginia's Kanawha County. Charleston serves not only as West Virginia's capital city, but also as its urban and cultural center. It has been said that the city is the "most northern" of the Southern cities and my "most southern" of the Northern cities.
