Givataiym Givataiym lies between Tel Aviv - Yaffo to the west and Ramat Gan to the northeast.
Established in 1922 by a group of Zionists as five separated, different neighbourhoods, then unified to a new town in 1942 in order to prevent their annexation to the growing city of Ramat Gan.
It gained its City status in 1959.

As a city, Givatayim has always kept a high living standard for its residents
and is said to enjoy all the benefits of being in the center, while not being
as effected by the negative aspects, unlike Tel Aviv - Yaffo.

Currently, the city is trying to profit from its proximity to
Tel Aviv and to find its place as a third skyscraper city like its two neighbors.
The city is said to be developing a business district similar to the Diamond Exchange District in Ramat Gan.

One of the city's hot-spots is the famous space-observatory with its
well-known panoramic view of Tel Aviv - Yaffo.
