The tower is designed to resist 300 km/h winds. |
The tower is part of the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre, which also includes shops, a convention centre, a cinema, a theatre, and an exhibition hall. |
The Macau Tower is based on Auckland's Sky Tower. Macau casino king and billionaire Stanley Ho Hung-sun liked that tower so much that he commissioned Auckland's engineering firm Beca Carter and architects Craig Craig Moller to design a similar tower in Macau. |
