The park features over a thousand trees, plus other plants with low water requirements.

The park also has a bike trail, a walking route with a fitness course and exercise equipment and a sports field.

The park surrounding the shopping center is five hectares in size and accessible to the public as well as to shoppers.

The developer, Sonae Sierra, established a set of environmental guidelines for the design, construction and later use of the center, including attention to waste recycling, reduction of water use, prevention of pollution, indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

This was the first shopping center in Portugal to obtain ISO 14001 certification for sound environmental practices during the construction phase.
