Facts
This small stone tower stands on top of Enger Hill, rising 531 feet above the surface of Lake Superior.
It memorializes Bert Enger, a Norwegian immigrant who donated all of the land that now makes up Enger Park, Duluth's largest.
It was dedicated June 15, 1939 by Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Martha of Norway.
The tower offers panoramic views of Central Duluth, the Duluth-Superior Harbor, the North Shore, and the western tip of Lake Superior.
