The Melville Sky Garden on the rooftop features unobstructed panoramic views, complete with patio, 40 foot pool, sauna, hot tub, and fitness centre, all landscaped with soft planted gardens.
The tower incorporates many sustainability features such as copper cladding, trees and gardens, steam heat, rainwater retention for irrigation, and recycled heavy timber retail facades.
Upon completion this will be the tallest all-residential tower in Vancouver, surpassing West One, and also in western Canada.
Original plans called for 37 occupiable floors. This was increased to 42 at a hearing on February 17, 2003.
The top of the tower ends with an architectural feature shaped as a curved glass sail.
On December 10, 2003 support from the Urban Design Panel was 6-4 in favour.
The 5,800 square-foot penthouse sold for $10 million in August 2007, buying 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 10-foot-high ceilings, 5 patios, 40-foot-long lap pool, private 5-car garage, and 24-hour concierge service from the next door luxury boutique Loden Hotel.
