Oregon's tallest building since 1972. |
Due to public outcry over the tower's heigth and the potential development of newer and taller buildings, Portland created a height restrictions on all new and future developments after the tower's opening. |
A skybridge connects the tower to the adjacent four-story building. |
The marble on the base is 1/16th inch thick. |
Wells Fargo Center was originally known as the First National Bank Tower, and then First Interstate Bank Tower. |
The building features 60,000 square feet of Italian Appenine mountains marble. |
