A domed restaurant occupies a small plaza at the tower's south end.

A pair of monumental, curving staircases makes a dramatic entrance from Michigan Avenue.

The north and south faces are modern, but have an appearance very similar to art deco with vertical bands of dark windows in a buff-colored wall.

The lobby was designed so the north wing would have a "warm" scheme with brass and beiges, while the south has "cool" tones of gray and silver.
