The building was rare for London in that it featured floorplates that were hung from the roof structure.

The triangulated roof structure occupied three storeys and was constructed from heavy post-tensioned concrete beams, more commonly associated with bridge design. This allowed for perimeter columns to be eliminated.

The roof structure occupied the 23rd to the 25th floor which was independent of the 23rd and housed the plant room.
