The architectural firm of  Pei Cobb Freed & Partners designed the elliptical form of the tower with a facade clad in alternating bands of stainless steel and lightly reflective glass panels. |
The north and south entrances each feature a round plate over the doorway. The northen canopy, facing the main plaza, is much larger. |
The architects also designed Hyatt Center, a tower in Chicago with a very similar shape and facade. |
A special design feature is a conical shape on the north side carved into the building's base up to level 26, at the exact level of the arch of La Grande Arche. |
