Awarded "Best Building of the Year" for 1995 by the American Chamber of Architects in the multifunctional skyscraper category.
Frankfurt's fire brigade trains here for emergency situations.
The steel crown on top of the building weighs 95 metric tons and is heated in winter to avoid icing.
A sculpture of a giant tie by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen is set up in front of the entrance.
This building is located next to the City-Haus and belongs to the same bank.
Several buildings have imitated this tower's crown, including The Palisades West in Vancouver.
